Bronstein Container is a 4th generation family business, which distributes many types of industrial packaging – such as pails, drums, cans & bottles, etc. We are located in Syracuse, NY, and have roots in the industrial packaging industry that go back over 100 years!

GENERAL/SALES MANAGER

 

We are looking for a motivated individual to Oversee our Day-To-Day Office Operations and Lead our Sales/Customer Service Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES– Typically include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure that the company consistently maintains a high standard of customer service with a sense of urgency, purpose and professionalism
  • Recruit, onboard, train and mentor high-performing employees – to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share.
  • Oversee your team’s day-to-day functions.  Develop and assign key performance goals and ensure their completion, as well as accomplish your own goals.
  • Work with HR to oversee all government mandated employee training, policies, and employee handbook, etc.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process.  Create and implement strategies for business growth.
  • Developing new solutions to meet our clients’ ever-changing needs.
  • Improving internal processes for increased productivity
  • Oversee large projects.  Assist with the negotiations of Bids, Contracts, and Pricing, etc.
  • Maintain an ongoing and clear understanding of our products, market and our competition.
  • Travel to prospect and customer locations and for other business matters, occasionally overnight.
  • Key Account Manager.
  • Manage ongoing program of research to find and qualify sales leads. Develop new business opportunities and markets.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all customer complaints and questions are resolved in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Communicates/coordinates regularly with Operations Team to ensures that customer orders are accurate and delivered in a timely manner, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Uses leadership skills and regularly meets with staff to maintain strong and healthy employee relations, as well as to keep our staff informed of relevant and key information.

  • CRM Software
  • Microsoft Office (365) Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis software
  • Microsoft Outlook/Email 365

 

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • A 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration is preferred.
  • Sales Account Representative Experience – A minimum of Three Years of business-to-business sales experience, with a proven track record of success and growth is required.
  • Management Experience – In addition to your sales experience, a minimum of Three Years of Management Experience is required. Preferably, this experience should be in the areas of Sales/Customer Service Management, etc.
  • Any other business/management experience – such as: Purchasing, HR, AR/AP, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory and Logistics are helpful for this role and shall be viewed favorably.

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST – RESPONSIBILITIESThis Position includes Regular Participation in some or all of the following:

  • Act as a primary contact/resource for existing customers, regarding product inquiries/specifications, pricing, and product availability. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely & professional manner.
  • Sales Order Entry – Received via Email & Phone, etc., and keep customers updated on their order status/estimated delivery, etc.
  • Manage Inquiries from Potential Customers & Leads: Identify their requirements. Make Product Recommendations. Prepare and Send Quotes.
  • Proactively Follow-Up & Track: Leads/Inquiries/Sales Opportunities, Quotes, etc.
  • Maintain Up-to-date customer records, including contact & product information
  • Support for Outside Sales.
  • Monitor Customer Order Patterns/Activity and Maintain Productive Relationships – via proactive and regular contact.
  • Assist with Invoicing, Bookkeeping, etc.
  • Participation in Miscellaneous Projects/Programs.

 

CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST – REQUIRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma is required.
  • A 2-Year Associates Degree in Business (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • A Two-Year minimum of business experience is required. This experience should be in the areas of Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing, etc. *Business to Business experience is preferred.*
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

(Large Box Truck Experience Required)

 

NON CDL (BOX TRUCK) DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITIES – This Position includes Regular Participation in some or all of the following:

  • Warehouse Work – Prepare Outgoing Orders, Load/Unload Trucks
  • Repetitive Moderate to Heavy Lifting / Stacking Products
  • Safe Operation of our Trucks. Deliveries are both Local and throughout Upstate, NY
  • Maintain accurate Counts/Accountability of Merchandise during Loading/Unloading
  • Maintain Accurate Loading and Delivery Paperwork
  • Work & Make Deliveries year-round in all outdoor weather conditions

 

NON CDL (BOX TRUCK) DRIVERS REQUIRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of large (22′ or longer) box truck driving/delivery experience
  • Forklift Experience/Certification is preferred, but Not Required
  • Familiarization with Syracuse/Surrounding Areas & Upstate NY is Helpful for This Position
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and actual work experience will be considered
